The National Music Camp program probably reached its zenith in this gala concert dedicated to the President of the United States Gerald R. Ford and Mrs. Ford, who were the honored guests in a crowd of over 4000 who jammed into Kresge Auditorium for an evening of rousing patriotic music. There were repeated standing ovations and the applause was thunderous after every performance, with cheers from the audience bringing down the house. |
