The historic organ of the parish church in Fleckenberg is one of only two surviving synagogue organs in Germany.
It was originally built in 1865 by the piano and organ building workshop Bach & Söhne for the synagogue in Aachen.
For forty years this organ served the Jewish community in Aachen until a new organ was purchased for the synagogue in 1905 and the Bach organ was sold to the St. Antonius parish in Fleckenberg.
As a result, it escaped destruction by the Nazis on Reichspogromnacht.
