Australian Soprano Emma Moore has a broad range of experience as a performer,
with a repertoire spanning across Opera, Oratorio and Art Song. Currently a
Principal Soloist at the Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar, her roles here
include Fiordiligi Cosi fan Tutte and Donna Anna Don Giovanni (both under the
baton of Kirill Karabits), Antonia Les contes d’Hoffmann and Micaëla Carmen.
Emma has won awards from ‘Das Lied’ International Song Competition Berlin, the
‘Hugo Wolf Academy’ Stuttgart and received 1st Prize at the Richard Strauss
Competition Munich. She is the Winner of the prestigious ‘Marianne Mathy
Scholarship’ from the Australian Singing Competition.
Complementing her operatic engagements, Emma is a sought-after recitalist. She
appears singing Lieder by Richard Strauss on the documentary film ‘Am Ende des
Regenbogens’ alongside Brigitte Fassbaender, and made her Swiss debut at the
Boswil Summer Festival with pianist Julius Drake.
The Berlin based song accompanist and chamber musician Klara Hornig turned her
focus towards making music in partnership from early on in her career.
Exploring the relationship between poetry and music is a fundamental goal of her
work, and over the past years she has established herself as a partner of many
soloists.
Alongside her concert work, she is a renowned pedagogue for song interpretation,
holding teaching positions at both the University of Music and Theatre Rostock
and the University of Arts Berlin. She is a prize winner of the international
song-competitions ‘Schubert and the Modern Graz’ and the ‘Hugo Wolf Academy’
Stuttgart.
